Engineering Manager, Ft Worth TX

Manage and lead engineering department and provide technical and management directions. Create engineering sketches utilizing knowledge of AutoDesk Inventor software. Design and develop awning and canopy structures by analyzing requirements, cost and schedule as defined by customers. Plan and manage all aspects of single discipline planning projects or large, routing projects. Independently coordinate the work of drafting engineers and product designing engineers, and the balance of the planning team throughout the entire project development. Adjust the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon schedule. Standardize design procedures and typical product specifications. Work closely with Sales and Operations helping them to develop strategies to drive sales through development of new extruded aluminum product line roadmaps. Work with Production Department, manage and support the transition from design to production. Support Purchasing Department to develop and maintain a quality vendor and supplier base.

Requirements: A Master’s degree in Business Administration and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years related experience in awning and canopy design industry as an engineer.
